There are frequent bus services from Auckland City Centre to Eden Park.

Travel by bus is included in your match ticket from 3pm until the end of daily services. 

Below are some key bus routes to get to Eden Park.

If you’re travelling from the North Shore, the Northern Express 2 (NX2) bus will drop you at the brand-new Te Waihorotiu Station, where you can train straight to Kingsland for Eden Park on the East West Line (E-W).  

If you’re travelling from West Auckland, the Western Express 1 (WX1) bus will drop you at the brand-new Te Waihorotiu Station, where you can train straight to Kingsland for Eden Park on the East West Line (E-W).  

Travel on special event buses is included in your ticket. Simply show your ticket to the driver when boarding, and remember to keep your match ticket for the journey home.

For customers with additional mobility requirements, post-event shuttles will be running from outside Eden Park at 61 Sandringham Road to Morningside Station, from 8:30pm to 10pm.

Before the opening of City Rail Link, customers could only transfer at either Waitematā or Newmarket for connecting lines to event venues. Customers can now transfer at one of the multiple city centre stations, including Te Waihorotiu and Karanga-a-Hape, which are great places to meet before or after an event. 

Kingsland train station is only a 10-minute walk to Eden Park.

Travel by train is included in your match ticket from 3pm until the end of daily services. 

With the opening of the City Rail Link there are now frequent train services to Eden Park from THREE city centre stations. The new East West Line (E-W), which stops at Kingsland for Eden Park, leaves from Waitematā, Te Waihorotiu and Karanga-a-Hape stations. 

You can travel directly to Eden Park from Henderson on the Onehunga West Line (O-W) or from Swanson on the East West Line (E-W). Jump on at any station along the line and get off at Kingsland.

For the most direct journey, travel the new East West Line (E-W) which begins at Manukau Station and stops at Kingsland Station for Eden Park.  

The Downtown Ferry Terminal is a 5-minute walk from Waitematā Train Station, and from the Lower Albert Street bus interchange. Ferry passengers can easily change to a train or bus to get to Eden Park.

Pay for your fare using an AT Hop card, contactless debit and credit card, smartphone or smartwatch. Remember to tag on and off using the same card or device. 

Children aged 5–15 travel free on weekends with a registered AT HOP card, and children under 5 travel free when with a paying passenger.

There are currently three main locations around Eden Park with bike racks that can have a personal bike lock applied. Bike parking is located adjacent to Entry G reception, opposite Gate D smoking area and opposite Gate B.

Trains to the City

All trains departing from Platform 2 will stop at Mangawhau, Karanga-a-Hape, Te Waihorotiu, Waitemata.

Trains to South Auckland

Trains to Otahuhu will depart from Platform 1.

Transfer at Newmarket or Otahuhu to travel further South to Pukekohe.

Trains to Newmarket and Grafton

Trains to Newmarket and Grafton will depart from Platform 2.

Trains to East Auckland

Trains to Manukau, via all city stations, will depart from Platform 2. Listen to announcements and check the train’s destination before boarding.

Trains to Parnell

Trains to Parnell will depart from Platform 2. Not all trains will go to Parnell so listen to announcements and check the train’s destination before boarding.

If you are travelling West, you will need to walk 12 minutes to Morningside Station to get the East West Line home. 

The event organiser for this event has elected to take up integrated ticketing, so travel is included in your event ticket on buses & trains.
