Use AT Park to promote your business
If you have Auckland Transport paid parking near your business, you can offer a parking discount to attract or reward customers.
How it works
If there is paid AT parking near your business, you can offer your customers a discount to use these spaces. You do this by creating an AT Park promotion. It's easy to create a promotion. Once set-up, customers will scan a QR code to apply your discount in the AT Park app.

Planning your promotion
Plan the offer to suit your needs. You'll need to decide:
- your total budget
- how long the promotion will run
- the days of the week and times your promotion is active
- how much you want to spend each day
- what discount you want to offer customers
- which of your customers will get a parking discount.
There's so fee to set-up your promotion. Whatever you spend goes directly to discounting your customers’ parking.
Example promotion
You have a budget of $200 and want to run a 2-week promotion. You decide to offer a $1 parking discount on weekdays from 7am to 10am—for customers who buy a coffee and muffin. If you set your daily limit to $20 you can offer $1 off to 20 customers. This will also spread your total budget over the 2 weeks.
Apply online
When you're ready, apply using our online form.
If approved, we will send you instructions to deposit the amount you want to spend. Once set up you'll be given a QR code that customers will scan to get the discount.
Manage your promotion
Setting a daily spend limit allows you to manage your total promotion budget. Once you reach your daily limit your QR code will stop working for the day.
When you apply you can ask to be emailed a weekly spend report for the promotion.

Using the QR code
For the business
When your promotion is approved you will be emailed a QR code to display. You can choose which customers see the QR code and get the discount.
Do not email your QR code as it could be easily shared. If you're worried your QR code has been shared, you can request a new code. Email parkingdesign@at.govt.nz and we will send you a new QR code within one working day. You can also request to pause your promotion which means it will not be visible on the app while we process your new code.
Once you receive your new QR code your previous code will no longer work. If you chose to pause your promotion it will restart when we email your new QR code.
For customers
When a customer visits a business offering a parking discount, they need to use the AT Park app to pay for their parking. They'll use the app to scan a QR code, which applies the discount to their parking.
