Improving road safety near Kapowai Boulevard in Takaanini
We’re making a small change to improve safety outside Holy Trinity Catholic Primary School on Kapowai Boulevard.

The school has raised concerns about traffic safety during school drop-off and pick-up times.
At the moment, the broken yellow lines (no stopping at any time) are not in the best location to support safe vehicle movement and pedestrian access.
To make it safer for parents, caregivers, and children, we plan to move the broken yellow lines to a more suitable location closer to the school.
The changes we’re making in June-July 2026
The “No stopping at all times” (broken yellow lines) will be moved from the western side of Kapowai Boulevard to the eastern side, near 139 Airfield Road, Takanini.
