WalkingOverview
We’ll install permanent kerbs that extend slightly into the road. This will better define and protect the roadside edge from taller vehicles travelling along the kerbside lane.
The temporary speed humps and ‘safe-hit’ sticks along the eastern side of Hobson Street between Wellesley Street and Pitt Street have been there for several years. Now, the asphalt footpaths need resurfacing. This gives us an opportunity to tidy up the area and make the kerbside protections permanent at the same time. While there are no longer scheduled bus routes along Hobson Street, it’s still an important alternative bus route.

Visuals
In some places, it could look better.
