Updated design – February 2026
We completed a pre-construction safety audit before construction begins.
This identified a small number of further improvements to strengthen safety and ensure Rewa Road remains accessible for all users, including emergency services and larger vehicles.
Additional broken yellow lines (no stopping at all times)
To ensure the road remains safe and passable, particularly for larger vehicles, we will be adding new broken yellow lines:
- between numbers 17 and 19 Rewa Road
- between numbers 8 and 10 Rewa Road
- near number 11 Rewa Road (after Coney Lane).
These sections of Rewa Road are narrow, and parking on both sides would not leave adequate space for larger vehicles to pass. The no-stopping lines address this safety issue.
Other design adjustments
- The centre line has been shifted slightly to better align vehicles and improve visibility.
- Driveway flares have been updated to improve access for residents entering and exiting their properties.
*A ‘flare’ refers to the widened part of the driveway entrance where it meets the road and footpath. This work does not affect the private portion of driveways on residents’ properties.
