Takutai Street and Saint Stephens Avenue improvements

We will install a pedestrian island tactile pavers in the middle of Takutai Street. It will make crossing safer by breaking up the journey.

The changes include:

• widening the footpath and extending the kerb to shorten the crossing distance
• adding formal give-way controls to the left-turn slip lane from Gladstone Road into Saint Stephens Avenue
• painting more broken yellow lines (no stopping at all times) from both corners of the intersection of Takutai Street and Saint Stephens Avenue to the driveway of 57 Saint Stephens Avenue.

We will take away 3 on-street parking spaces in the existing P120 residential parking zone.
