South Auckland bus improvements
From April 2026, there will be some new bus routes and bus stops in south Auckland. There will also be more buses for more of the day.

Route changes
New routes
37 Manurewa to Highbrook via Puhinui will pass:
- Wiri
- Weymouth Road
- Roscommon Road
- Puhinui Road
- Preston Road
- Springs Road
- East Tamaki Road.
39 will replace the 361, following the same route.
37 and 39 run:
- every 15 minutes, 7am to 7pm
- every 30 minutes at other times, 7 days a week.
364 Manurewa to Papakura via Conifer Grove
352 Manukau Station to Panmure interchange via Ormiston and Highbrook
A route change through Ormiston.
It will go via:
- Greenan Drive
- Bellingham Road
- Accent Drive and will no longer travel on Davies Avenue, Ronwood Avenue, Great South Road, Reagan Road, Preston Road or Te Irirangi Drive.
362 Weymouth to Manukau
It will run the whole length of Wordsworth Road and no longer on Rowandale Avenue.
Timetable improvements
33 Papakura Station to Ōtāhuhu Station via Great South Road
Every 15 minutes in the evenings.
363 Wattle Downs loop
Earlier and later buses, every 30 minutes.
366 Manurewa interchange to Manukau Station via the Gardens
Every 30 minutes in the evenings, and earlier and later in the weekends.
365 Manurewa to Papakura
Route change around Takaanini Station.

These improvements are funded by Auckland’s Climate Action Transport Targeted Rate (CATTR), which funds initiatives contributing to the goals of Te Tāruke-ā-Tāwhiri: Auckland’s Climate Action Plan.
This plan sets out Auckland’s path to net zero emissions by 2050 while also adapting to the impacts of climate change.
