Once your mooring has sold, you will need to complete a mooring transfer certificate, signed by both parties, along with the transfer fee and a photo of the new owner's vessel.

Step 1: Fill out a mooring transfer certificate

Download and fill out the mooring transfer certificate (PDF 1.6MB).

This must be signed by both parties (i.e. the seller and the new owner).

Step 2: Take a photo of the new owner's vessel

A photo of the new owner's vessel is required with your completed mooring transfer certificate.

Step 3: Email or post your completed transfer certificate and photo

Email your completed mooring transfer certificate (signed by both parties) and the photo of the new owner's vessel to moorings@at.govt.nz or post hardcopies of these to:

Auckland Transport
Private Bag 92250
Auckland 1142

Step 4: Fee payment

Payment of the mooring transfer fee (noted on the transfer certificate) can be done by internet or phone banking, or deposit at any Bank of New Zealand (BNZ) branch using:

  • Account number: 02 0192 0122888 03
  • Reference: 50006589 and your name.
