How to list your mooring for sale or rent
Submit an application to advertise your mooring for sale or rent.
After receiving your application, the Harbourmaster's office will publish your listing details on the website as soon as possible.
What to do once your mooring has been sold or rented (2 steps)
Notify the Harbourmaster's office to remove your listing
As the original owner, email us at moorings@at.govt.nz to remove your mooring listing from the AT website.
Provide details for rental or if you sold your mooring
If you rented your mooring, make sure you give the Harbourmaster's office the renter's contact and vessel details.
If you sold your mooring, make sure you transfer ownership. Find out more about transferring ownership of your mooring.
Conditions for renting or subleasing your mooring
To rent or sublease a mooring, you must:
- get approval for all rentals or subleases from the Harbourmaster's office
- rent the mooring for no more than 6 months
- avoid renting or subleasing in a waiting list area
- ensure any new vessel is suitable for the mooring site
- have a current mooring inspection certificate.
