Papakura Station during the Rail Network Rebuild
Papakura Station will be affected by Stage 3b of the Rail Network Rebuild. This work will start on 26 January and finish on 7 March 2024. Find out more below.

Key information
KiwiRail teams will improve drainage on the Southern Line, at various locations between Papakura and Puhinui. KiwiRail will also continue with the Third Main Line construction.
Both projects will impact the Southern and Eastern line trains. There will be:
- Early Ramp Downs on some weeknights, when trains will stop running earlier than usual.
- Some weekend Blocks of Line when trains will not run.
- Where possible, Southern line trains will run from Waitematā Station (Britomart) to Manukau via Puhinui station.

Travelling from Papakura Station
If you're travelling from Papakura Station, there are several ways you can get around.
During the day, trains will not be impacted by the work as it is happening overnight and at weekends.
In the evenings and at weekends when trains will not be running, rail replacement buses will be available. They will stop at each station between Puhinui and Papakura.
- Bus 33 - High frequency option between Papakura Interchange and Ōtāhuhu Station via Great South Road.
- Bus 365 - Hourly timetable between Papakura Interchange and Manukau Bus Station via Porchester Road.
- Rail replacement bus (RBS) stopping at all stations between Papakura and Puhinui.
