Travelling on the Western Line

The Rail Bus West (RBW) is an all stops rail replacement bus service that will run on the following schedule: 

The Rail Bus West (RBW) will run at Swanson, Rānui, Sturges Road, Henderson, Sunnyvale, Glen Eden, Fruitvale Road, New Lynn, Avondale, Mount Albert, Baldwin Avenue, Morningside, Kinsland, Grafton, Newmarket, Parnell and Waitematā (Britomart) train stations.

Weekdays:  

  • peak: 10-minute frequency
  • interpeak: 20-minute frequency 
  • late-evenings: 30-minute frequency.

Weekends: 

  • all day: 20-minute frequency 
  • late-evening: 30-minute frequency.

Public holidays: Good Friday, Easter Monday and ANZAC Day 

  • all day: 20-minute frequency 
  • late-evenings: 30-minute frequency. 

Travelling on the Eastern Line

The Rail Bus East (RBE) is an all stops rail replacement bus service that will run on the following schedule: 

The Rail Bus East (RBE) will run at Manukau, Puhinui, Papatoetoe, Middlemore, Ōtāhuhu, Sylvia Park, Panmure, Glenn Innes, Meadowbank, Ōrākei and Waitematā (Britomart) train stations.

Weekdays:  

  • peak: 10-minute frequency 
  • interpeak: 20-minute frequency 
  • late-evenings: 30-minute frequency. 

Weekends: 

  • all day: 20-minute frequency 
  • late-evening: 30-minute frequency.

Public holidays: Good Friday, Easter Monday and ANZAC Day

  • all day: 20-minute frequency 
  • late-evenings: 30-minute frequency.

Please note: the rail replacement for Meadowbank Station has been relocated to Remuera Rd.

Travelling on the Southern Line

The Rail Bus South (RBS) is an all stops rail replacement bus service that will run from Pukekohe to Waitematā on the following schedule: 

The Rail Bus South (RBS) will run at Pukekohe, Papakura, Takaanini, Manurewa, Homai, Puhinui, Papatoetoe, Middlemore, Ōtāhuhu, Penrose, Ellerslie, Greenlane, Remuera, Newmarket, Parnell and Waitematā (Britomart) train stations.

Weekday:

  • peak: 10-minute frequency 
  • interpeak: 20-minute frequency 
  • late-evenings: 30-minute frequency.

Weekends:

  • all day: 20-minute frequency 
  • late-evenings: 30-minute frequency.

Public holidays: Good Friday, Easter Monday, and ANZAC Day 

  • all day: 20-minute frequency 
  • late-evenings: 30-minute frequency.

The Rail Bus Southern Express (RBSX) is an express bus service, only stopping at high frequency train stations – Papakura, Manukau, Puhinui, Papatoetoe, Middlemore, Ōtāhuhu, Newmarket, Parnell, and Waitematā (Britomart) stations. It will run weekdays only on the following schedule: 

The Rail Bus South (RBSX) will run at Papakura, Manuaku, Puhinui, Papatoetoe, Middlemore, Ōtāhuhu, Newmarket, Parnell and Waitematā (Britomart) train stations.

Weekday and weekends:

  • all day: 20-minute frequency 
  • late evenings: 30-minute frequency.

Travelling on the Onehunga Line

The Rail Bus Onehunga (RBO) is an all stops rail replacement bus service that will run on the following schedule: 

The Rail Bus Onehunga (RBO) will run at Onehunga, Te Pāpapa, Penrose, Ellerslie, Greenlane, Remuera and Newmarket train stations.

7 days a week (including public holidays): all day 30-minute frequency.
