What’s happened

Our rail operator, Auckland One Rail (AOR), and CAF, the organisation that maintains our trains had each advised AT that unionised employees, represented by the Rail and Maritime Union of New Zealand (RMTU), were taking industrial action following collective bargaining discussions.

On Friday 21 June, we were advised that CAF, the organisation that maintains our trains, had reached an agreement with the RMTU and its industrial action notice has been withdrawn. AOR is still in mediation with the RMTU to reach an outcome.
