Why the changes are needed
These changes are needed to provide visibility for pedestrians crossing the intersection increasing their safety.
Proposal outcome
This project will proceed without changes to the next stage of detailed planning. See a summary of the community feedback we received and answers to questions and concerns.
Feedback received
- Suggestion to introduce no parking restrictions at the lower end of Clematis Avenue during school pick-up and drop-off times. Currently the road is dangerously congested, affecting the safety of pedestrians. The project provides an improved crossing facility at the intersection and parking restrictions are included for safe visibility. Additional parking restrictions for improving congestion are not being considered as part of this project.
Next steps
This work will happen between August 2018 and June 2019, but we will let you know if there are further changes or delays. Our contractors will send notices to affected residents prior to construction starting.
