Why the changes are needed

Our proposal responded to requests from the local community to enable a higher turnover of parking spaces for shops. These changes are expected to provide more accessible parking for residents and customers visiting local businesses.

Proposal outcome

The proposed parking restrictions will proceed to the next stage of detailed planning before being implemented. Thank you to everyone who responded to our proposal and gave us the chance to better understand your community and concerns. A summary of your feedback and our responses to community questions is below.

Community feedback

  • One request to change 3-4 of the carparks to P10 parking spaces and the rest P120, to improve access for customers. And another respondent is supportive of the proposal, but requests that the time period be reduced from 120 minutes to 60 minutes to increase availability for customers.
This proposed change is to provide increased parking availability for businesses and their customers. Our investigations and discussions with businesses have concluded that P120 parking restrictions are consistent with the area and will promote turn-over for the wide variety of their needs.
  • Request to become an AT HOP retailer.
Thank you for your request, we have logged a request with our customer services team and an Auckland Transport representative will be touch with you.
