Auckland Transport (AT) is responsible for weed spraying in Auckland areas. We have listed below current notices of intention to spray as well as information on how to join the No Spray Register.

Notice of intention to undertake vegetation control
During November 2017, weather permitting, Auckland Transport contractors Fulton Hogan will be carrying out vegetation control activities using approved herbicides and mechanical/noxious weed control measures on streets in Whau, Waitakere and Henderson-Massey areas.
Locations may include: Waitakere Township, West Harbour, Massey Te Atatu Peninsula, Te Atatu South, Lincoln, Ranui, Swanson, Henderson, Henderson Valley, Western Heights, McLaren Park, Glendene, Sunnyvale, Anawhata, Te Henga/Bethells, Karekare, Piha, Waiatarua, Oratia, Glen Eden, Konini, Titirangi, Waima, French Bay, Wood Bay, Laingholm, Woodlands Park, Parau, Whatipu, Huia, Cornwallis, Green Bay, Kelston, New Lynn, Avondale, New Windsor and Blockhouse Bay.
Operational areas are inclusive of footpaths, street-to-street walkways, bus stops, kerb and channels, road edging, signage and other street furniture. Auckland Transport operates a No Spray Register as part of the Auckland Council weed management strategy. Agreed ‘No Spray’ areas and maintained verges will not be sprayed.

No Spray Register
AT operates a No Spray Register and Code of Practice that governs all spray operations.
If you are a property owner or resident who does not want the street frontage of your property sprayed with herbicide, you can request to be added to the No Spray Register.
