A number of bus changes are happening across Auckland from 17 November.

North routes: 802, 806, 807, 861, 866, 884, 885, 923, 924, 966

CENTRAL

Route description

17 November changes

OuterLink

St Lukes, Mt Albert, Pt Chevalier, Herne Bay, City Centre, Parnell, Newmarket, Epsom, Mt Eden continuous loop.

Will no longer be a continuous loop. Will terminate at St Lukes and Newmarket and no longer travel through Epsom, Mt Eden and Balmoral.

It will no longer travel on Valley Road, Dominion Road, Mt Eden Road, Balmoral Road, Green Lane West or Manukau Road.

This will improve reliability of the services through Mt Albert, Pt Chevalier, Westmere, Herne Bay, City Centre, Parnell. It will no longer require delays for driver changeover mid-journey at Victoria Park and Albert Park.

The turnaround loop at the western end of Jervois Road will be removed. The OuterLink will no longer use the bus stop near Masons Ave. The next nearest bus stop is 300m away along Jervois Road. This will make journeys shorter for the majority of passengers.

Pt Chevalier, Westmere, Herne Bay, City Centre, Universities – peak times only.

27H, 27W, 27T

Waikowhai, Hillsborough to Britomart via Three Kings and Mt Eden Rd

More trips are added to 27H and 27W services at peak times. Some 27T trips removed. Combined there will be more trips on Mt Eden Road at peak times.

Onehunga Transport Centre to City Centre via Manukau Rd, Newmarket and Khyber Pass Rd

Extra trip added at school times from Onehunga in the morning and towards Onehunga in the afternoon.

Newmarket to Kingsland via Mt Eden and Valley Rd

Extended to St Lukes via Sandringham Road. Will run both ways on Walters Road. Frequency increase to every 12 minutes during the day and every 15 minutes in the evenings. Will run later in the evening.

Will use new bus stops at Kingsland Station.

Sylvia Park to Pt Chevalier via Penrose Rd, Mt Smart Rd and Mt Albert Rd

Frequency increase. Will run every 20 minutes in the evenings instead of every 30 minutes.

Onehunga Transport Centre to New Lynn Station via Hillsborough, Richardson Rd and White Swan Rd

Route is extended to Princes Street by the Onehunga train station. Some bus stop changes through Onehunga.

Glen Innes to Wynyard Quarter via Remuera Rd, Newmarket, Auckland City Hospital and Wellesley St

Trips are added to meet the demand on this route.

Westmere to Britomart via Richmond Rd, Karangahape Rd and Queen St

Extra trip added to help with capacity at St Paul’s College at school finish time. One trip is removed later in evening.

Glen Innes to Pt Chevalier and Selwyn Village via Remuera Rd, Greenlane, Balmoral Rd and St Lukes

Becomes Route 65.

Same route except around Walker Park in Pt Chevalier where it will run anticlockwise not clockwise.

Frequency increases to every 15 minutes and runs later in the evenings.

Otahuhu Station to New Lynn Station via Church St, Onehunga, Carr Rd and Stoddard Rd Otahuhu Station (Stop 1775) Mt Smart Stadium

Becomes Route 67A.

New additional Route 67B will run on the section between Onehunga and New Lynn giving a bus every 15 minutes (either a 67A or a 67B) between Onehunga and New Lynn, 7am to 7pm, seven days a week.

Britomart to Otahuhu.

One trip per day, Monday to Thursday, departing Britomart at 11.30pm.

This route will be completely removed due to low use.

Panmure to Newmarket via Marua Rd, Ladies Mile and Remuera Rd

Reduction in service. Will run hourly at off-peak times including weekends instead of half-hourly.

Will run every 20 minutes at peak times to meet ferries. They currently run every 30 minutes.

Long Bay to Constellation Station via Glamorgan Dr, Albany Station, Massey University and Bush Rd

Route extended along Te Oneroa Way to Vaughans Road in Long Bay.

866 – Albany Station to Newmarket via busway, Ponsonby Rd and Auckland City Hospital

966 - Beach Haven or Highbury to Newmarket via Onewa Rd, Ponsonby Rd, Karangahape Rd and Auckland City Hospital

Bus stop changes at Newmarket end of routes. Some slight timetable changes.

Departing from Newmarket. Use bus stops at Broadway (by St Marks Rd or  Clovernook Rd or outside Westfield) as the current first stop on Mahuru Rd stop will no longer be used by 866 and 966 buses.

884, 885

Clockwise & anti-clockwise routes through the North Harbour Industrial Estate

Reduction at peak times to every 30 minutes for each bus service. Off-set so one leaves Constellation Station every 15 minutes to get people to the North Harbour Industrial Estate.

923, 924

923 - Akoranga Station to City Centre via Hillcrest, Northcote and Sylvan Ave

924 - Hillcrest to City Centre via Northcote, Lake Rd and Onewa Rd

Extra trips added to meet demand on these routes.
