Moorings
Mooring zones are located throughout Auckland. The Harbourmaster’s Office issues licences to occupy a site (fees apply) and manages their placement and safety.
Jetskis (personal watercraft)
If you own a jetski in the Auckland, Bay of Plenty, Waikato and Northland regions, it must be registered with Auckland Transport Harbourmaster.

Report an accident or incident
It is your legal duty to report accidents, incidents or serious harm injury to Maritime New Zealand and Harbourmaster as soon as possible after they occur.

Auckland Transport (AT) Facilites team maintains public ferry wharves. They also manage commercial wharf infrastructure across the Auckland region.

For urgent marine spills in the coastal marine area, including oil, petrol or diesel spills, contact the Harbourmaster 24-hour emergency duty officer.
