Why the changes are needed

These changes are needed to improve the traffic flow of vehicles entering Clark Road from Great South Road, and reduce the likelihood of car queueing and waiting on Great South Road during peak times.

Proposal outcome

This project will proceed without changes to the next stage of detailed planning. Thank you to everyone who submitted feedback. A summary of this feedback and answers to community questions and concerns is below.

Feedback received

  • This proposal received positive responses from community members and stakeholders who supported this safety improvement on their street.
  • Customer has never seen any queuing on Clark Road or Great South Road.
Our site observations have confirmed the issue of vehicles queuing back onto Great South Road during peak periods due to parked vehicles on Clark Road near the intersection.
