This process is for members of the public from rural areas, such as Rodney, Waitakere or Franklin, who want to trim or remove trees outside of their property that belong to Auckland Council/Auckland Transport.
Tree Owner Approval form
Download the form and sent to ruraltrees@aucklandtransport.govt.nz for the team to process.
Processing time
We will process your application in 14 working days and there is no application fee.
Note that the cost of trimming or removing the tree will need to be covered by the applicant.
If you live in urban areas, you can apply to work on or around a council tree on the Auckland Council website.
