SailGP ferry exclusion zone SailGP ferry exclusion zone
SailGP is on this weekend, which means the harbour will be busy! The racecourse is between the Harbour Bridge, Viaduct Harbour and Stanley Point and there will be a lot of spectator boats enjoying the festivities.
To support Team New Zealand and keep everyone safe on the harbour, there is an exclusion zone in place that the racecourse and spectators must stay within. During the races, some of our ferries are unable to run through the exclusion zone and customers will need to take bus alternatives (see alternative transport below).
On Friday 17, Saturday 18, and Sunday 19 January 2025, between 1 PM and 6 PM the following routes will not be running:
- Bayswater
- Birkenhead
- West Harbour
- Hobsonville Point
There may also be minor delays between 11am and 3pm on Thursday while the event is getting set up.
Devonport Services
On Friday 17 January 2025 the Devonport service will operate at a 30-minute frequency today between 12pm to 8pm. The normal timetable will resume from 8pm.
