We are making improvements to make Pukekohe town centre safer for people walking and driving.
Construction update
Construction update Thursday 2 November 2023
Stage one construction work on the roundabout on the corner of Wesley Street and Edinburgh Street is complete. Stage two will begin Friday 3 November 2023 and will last for one month.
A detour will be in place as follows:
- Massey Avenue will be closed to through traffic between Roulston Lane and Edinburgh Street with a detour via Roulston Lane and Harris Street.
- Wesley Street will be closed to through traffic between Edinburgh Street and Queen Street with a detour via Queen Street and Harris Street.

Stage 2 Night Works
Night works
There will be some minor night works to speed up construction, however there will be no road closures during night works.
Stage 1
Road works will begin on Wednesday 11 October 2023.
The construction includes the roundabout upgrade, road repair and installation of pedestrian safety improvements at the roundabout on the corner of Wesley Street and Edinburgh Street.
The road will be closed for through traffic only, access to businesses will remain open throughout.
