Works on the roundabout on Matakana Road are well underway.

All utility services are in the ground, earthworks have been completed and the pavement layers are being constructed.

On the section from SH1 to the Bridge, utility services are being installed and the road prepared for the construction of the pavement layers. The Bridge spans have been installed and steel works continue.

The Project team is working with developers and Waka Kotahi to minimise disruption to the road after it has been completed. This includes two four-way intersections and an entrance into the Warkworth Showgrounds. The majority of the earthworks and three stormwater wetlands have been completed.

The recent COVID-19 lockdown and the addition of the intersections have delayed the programme, but it remains on schedule.
