Health and safety pre-qualification
If you wish to undertake contract works or services for Auckland Transport (AT), where health and safety (H&S) risk is considered to be medium or high, you will need to be H&S pre-qualified via the Construction Health and Safety NZ (CHASNZ) Tōtika Scheme.
As an AT supplier, there is no charge to join the scheme. Learn more and find out how to join the Tōtika Scheme (opens in a new tab).

Health, safety and wellbeing management system
ecoPortal is a new system that can be used by our external partners, including contractors and public transport operators. It is the same system that will be used by AT staff.
With ecoPortal, you can:
- report health, safety and wellbeing events — including injuries, illnesses, threats and aggression, property damage, and security events
- report near misses
- log hazards.
ecoPortal launches on 1 December 2025 so make sure you are familiar and ready to use it. If you would like a training session, email our team healthsafety@at.govt.nz.
You will need to have access to AT's technology systems and information assets. If you don't have an account, get in touch with your AT contact, either a representative, project manager or relationship partner. They can help you get set up.
