From Sunday 27 April:

  • Route 120 becomes route 12 but with a route change between Greenhithe and Constellation Station in the North Shore whereby route 12 will run along the motorway instead of residential roads. It will run every 30 minutes at off-peak times. Off-peak frequency will increase in mid-2025.
  • New route 902 through Greenhithe, Cuthill and Unsworth Heights to replace a section of route 120 being removed in these areas between Greenhithe and Constellation Station in the North Shore.
  • Route 132 (Te Atatū Peninsula to City Centre) will no longer run. It is replaced with bigger buses on the motorway services and more trips on route 13 on weekday afternoons.
  • New electric buses for routes 11T, 11W, 12 and WX1.
  • Additional trips added on route 13 between 3pm and 6pm on weekdays.
  • Additional trips added to routes 11T and 11W. Together, there will be six route 11T or 11W buses per hour until 9pm on weekdays.
  • Timetable changes for routes 11T, 11W and WX1.

Route 120 becomes routes 12 and 902:

  • New route 12 replaces route 120 between Constellation Station, Greenhithe, Westgate and Henderson. It will run on SH18 between Greenhithe and Constellation Station providing more direct journeys to and from the North Shore, including the connection to Northern Busway services at Constellation Station. It will run every 30 minutes at off-peak times and every 5 to 15 minutes at peak times on weekdays. Off-peak frequency will increase in mid-2025. Some trips will continue to Akoranga Station at school times.
    • On school days some trips will travel to Akoranga Station in the mornings and from Akoranga Station in the afternoons to serve the Westlake Schools as the route 120 currently does.
  • New route 902 replaces route 120 between Greenhithe and Constellation Station on Sunset Road, Albany Highway and Greenhithe Rd. Route 902 will run every 30 minutes throughout the day and hourly after 9pm until approximately 11pm. It will also use new bus stops on Orwell Road and Kyle Road in Greenhithe.

132 replaced:

  • Route 132 will be removed from 27 April in conjunction with the introduction of double decker buses on the WX1 route and additional route 13 trips.
  • The last trip on the 132 will be Thursday 24 April (due to Friday 25 April being ANZAC Day and weekend bus timetables apply on public holidays)
  • Existing users will need to take a route 11T, 11W, or WX1 bus along with a route 13 or 135 bus, transferring between them at the Te Atatū Bus Interchange.
  • No bus stops will be left unserved.
  • An additional six trips on the route 13 between 3pm and 6pm, five of these running the full route and one short-running service from Te Atatū Library to Henderson.

New electric buses for routes 11T & 11W, 12 and WX1:

  • Route WX1 will have new electric double decker buses with distinctive light blue livery at peak times. Diesel double decker buses will be used at off peak times. By mid-2025 all route WX1 buses will be new electric double decker buses.
  • From 27 April some electric double decker buses will be used on route 12 along with double decker diesel buses. By mid-2025 all route 12 buses will be double decker electric buses.
  • From 27 April some electric buses will be used on the routes 11T and 11W along with diesel buses. By mid-2025 all route 11T and 11W buses will be new electric buses.

Additional trips on route 13:

  • An additional six trips on route 13 between 3pm and 6pm, five of these running the full route and one short-running service from Te Atatū Library to Henderson.

Additional trips on routes 11T & 11W:

  • Additional trips are added to routes 11T and 11W. Together, there will be six route 11 buses per hour until 9pm on weekdays.

Timetable changes:

  • Timetables for the routes 11T, 11W, and WX1 are also changing.
