Completed slip sites

The following is a list of recently completed slip sites on Waiheke and Rakino Islands. Our thanks go to everyone in these communities for your patience and understanding as we made necessary repairs and restored safe connections. The sites are:

  • Wharf Road and Waitai Road, Ostend, Waiheke

The Esplanade, Oneroa, Waiheke

Road status: open

26 June 2025

We expect to begin work on the Esplanade sea wall on 30 June. All material is now on the island. We expect it to take up to 2 months and finish in late August or early September.

9 May 2025

Work is expected to start in June 2025 and take up to two months to complete. Work will involve a new rock seawall.

1 August 2024

Scouring of the seawall opposite Moa Avenue occurred during the storm on Auckland Anniversary Weekend. The area has been made safe, and repair design is under way.
