Amey Daldy Park Amey Daldy Park

Amey Daldy Park is a new neighbourhood park being created in the centre of Wynyard Quarter.

The project is a continuation of the revitalisation of Wynyard Quarter from an industrial port area to a vibrant, prosperous and accessible harbour edge business, residential, and entertainment precinct.

Project overview

Amey Daldy Park is a project that is being delivered by Auckland Transport, Watercare and Waterfront Auckland.

It falls within the wider development of Wynyard Quarter South being led by AT to upgrade the roads within this area, and leads to better connections between Wynyard Quarter, Victoria Park and the central business district. The Wynyard Quarter South project is one of Auckland Transport’s top ten projects.

Amey Daldy Park is part of the green connection created by the Daldy Street Park which runs from Victoria Park in the south to the public open space planned for the future on Wynyard Point. It will eventually be surrounded by residential apartments and office buildings.  It will be a place used by the future community that surrounds it, a gathering spot and hub of activity in the southern part of Wynyard Quarter.

At 70 metres x 49 metres it will be equivalent in size to Takutai Square in Britomart or Waitematā Plaza in Viaduct Harbour.

Features and benefits

Over the next few years there will be several thousand people living in Wynyard Quarter in newly built apartments and terraced houses. There will also be many more people working in the area in innovation, office and marine related jobs.

Amey Daldy Park will complement the nearby green spaces of Victoria Park, which is largely used for sports based activities and Silo Park, a hub for community events.

It will be a space for people who live and work in the area to take a break from being inside.
