Auckland Transport has over 500 road maintenance staff assessing the damage to our roading network and are working hard to clear roads as safely and quickly as possible.
If life, health or property is in danger, call 111 immediately.
To report damage on the road network, please contact us online:
If there are roading problems with an immediate risk to the safety of people or property call us on 09 355 3553.
We are constantly reviewing the situation and updating this page.
- There are multiple road closures and slips across the region causing detours (including bus detours). See the bus section on this page for more details.
- Western Line services will operate at a 20-minute frequency between Britomart and Henderson. Customers will have to change trains to travel between Henderson and Swanson. Check AT Mobile for updated timetables.
- Rail buses will continue to operate on the Onehunga Line and between Otahuhu and Newmarket on the Southern line and are accepting rail tickets and HOP cards. See the train section on this page for more details.
- Most ferries are now operating to scheduled timetable. See the Ferry section on this page for more details.
- If you are aware of an incident related to moorings or a vessel, please inform the harbourmaster by phone 09 362 0397 or email harbourmaster@at.govt.nz.
- We are currently on the cycle network to check the widespread damage of Cyclone Gabrielle, as we simply were not able to earlier due to the wind. We see many fallen trees and branches across the whole network, so please take extreme care and do not attempt to crawl or pass any fallen tree, they can be extremely unstable. Please report any issue to Auckland Transport Contact Centre or through Twitter.
Keep a lookout for debris and fallen trees on the road, and as always drive to the conditions.
