Micromobility Risk Study

In 2021, Auckland Transport completed a high-level study to improve our understanding of safety risks for micromobility users (e.g. e-bikes, e-scooters, e-skateboards and monowheels). The study delved into multiple data sources and provides recommendations based on key learnings for where policymakers could target their efforts, including where further research is needed. The research report includes a full list of the key learnings and recommendations.

Active modes research

AT surveys Aucklanders to find out how they think AT is providing for cycling and walking, what we could be doing to get more people walking and cycling, and how and when they are using walking and cycling as their means of transport.

Annual cycle monitoring report

Up until 2015, manual cycle monitoring was conducted annually at 85 sites across the region.

Data is no longer collected in this way as it is deemed more cost-effective to undertake counts as and when we needed for specific projects.
